The heavens tell of the glory of God. The skies display his marvelous craftsmanship.
“You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory and honor and power. For you created everything, and it is for your pleasure that they exist and were created.”
37Jesus replied, you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and your entire mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.
2“Say this to the entire community of Israel: You must be holy because I, the LORD your God, am holy.
2But there is a problem–your sins have cut you off from God. Because of your sin, he has turned away and will not listen anymore.
6All of us have strayed away like sheep. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the LORD laid on him the guilt and sins of us all.
23For all have sinned; all fall short of God’s glorious standard.
23For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.
27And just as it is destined that each person dies only once and after that comes judgment,
28″Don’t be afraid of those who want to kill you. They can only kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
16″For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
10And I, the Son of Man, have come to seek and save those like him who are lost.”
8But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.
1 Peter 2:24
24He personally carried away our sins in his own body on the cross so we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. You have been healed by his wounds!
5But he was wounded and crushed for our sins. He was beaten that we might have peace. He was whipped, and we were healed!
1 Peter 3:18
18Christ also suffered when he died for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners that he might bring us safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit.[a]
2 Corinthians 5:21
21For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.
36And all who believe in God’s Son have eternal life. Those who don’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life, but the wrath of God remains upon them.”
3Jesus replied, “I assure you, unless you are born again,[a] you can never see the Kingdom of God.”
12But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.
31They replied, “Believe on the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with your entire household.”
9For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
13For “Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
28Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
6Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.
12There is salvation in no one else! There is no other name in all of heaven for people to call on to save them.”
3Not at all! And you will also perish unless you turn from your evil ways and turn to God.
7Let the people turn from their wicked deeds. Let them banish from their minds the very thought of doing wrong! Let them turn to the LORD that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
1 John 1:9
9But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong.
18″Come now, let us argue this out,” says the LORD. “No matter how deep the stain of your sins, I can remove it. I can make you as clean as freshly fallen snow. Even if you are stained as red as crimson, I can make you as white as wool.
2 Corinthians 6:2
2For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.” Indeed, God is ready to help you right now. Today is the day of salvation.
20″Look! Here I stand at the door and knock. If you hear me calling and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal as friends.
8God saved you by his special favor when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.
10The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give life in all its fullness.
37However, those the Father has given me will come to me, and I will never reject them.
1 John 5:12-13
12So whoever has God’s Son has life; whoever does not have his Son does not have life. 13I write this to you who believe in the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life.
16For his Holy Spirit speaks to us deep in our hearts and tells us that we are God’s children.
24″I assure you, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life.
2 Corinthians 5:17
17What this means is that those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun!
2 Timothy 1:12
12And that is why I am suffering here in prison. But I am not ashamed of it, for I know the one in whom I trust, and I am sure that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until the day of his return.
